In the autumn of 1991, a research Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems was established in Donetsk, subordinated to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In 2014, due to the events in the East of the country, the scientists moved to Kyiv, where a branch of the institute was already operating at that time. Recently, the staff of the institute has been working on developments, mostly related to the military sphere. Recently, scientists participated in a competition for projects commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Forum of Internet Figures iForum2016 took place on April 20 at the International Exhibition Center. The iForum format included not only a conference with the usual reports, but also an exhibition area, various activities, constant live communication of participants.

Scientific and Technical Entrepreneurship Program (STEP 2016)

Scientists of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems took part in the Technology Entrepreneurship Forum, hosted by CRDF Global on the basis of the well-known iHUB center in Kyiv (a network of innovation and entrepreneurship centers that provides access to education, community, investors and space for technology companies) for startup founders, scientists and researchers. The event took place in the format of a one-day meeting in Kyiv, April 8, 2016.

Round table with a representative of the Web of Science

On the last day of March in the session hall of the Conference Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine a round table discussion on "How to develop a scientific journal using Web of Science", which was attended by members of of the Scientific and Publishing Council of the NAS of Ukraine and more than a hundred editors and heads of editorial boards of periodicals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, publishers, took place. The round table was also attended by officials of the journal "Artificial Intelligence", published by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems of the NAS and MES of Ukraine.

The participants listened to a report given by the honorary vice president of Thomson Reuters for content development and interaction with publishers, James Test.
