Correction of Human Functional States in Extreme Conditions Department

 In current conditions, the amount of information for operational analysis and processing is constantly increasing for a person involved in control systems. The quality and effectiveness of decisions depends on the factors that influence the decision maker.

Two main directions of research conducted in the Department are aimed at solving such problems:

  • Creation of intelligent systems for diagnostics and correction of human psychophysiological state;

  • Creation of biotechnology systems that can fully or partially remove human from controlling of complex hazardous technogenic objects.

Biotechnology systems are capable of processing large amounts of information and supporting decision-making by freeing people from the controling, while increasing the economic, social and environmental performance of such systems, including robots and robotic devices. In this way, you can increase the efficiency of predicting states, behavior and managing social groups in a variety of settings, including in complex and emergency situations.

Intelligent systems for managing biotechnical systems (as a component of cyberphysical systems) free human from monotonous work, promote human development, improve quality of life, contribute to protection of health and are a national priority in research aimed at development of the society under new conditions. 

 

 

Main directions of works of the Department:

Analysis of brain activation states, neurophysiological correlates, and components of brain functional state.

Study of factors affecting the functional state of a person, individual features of the nervous system, and typological features of individual functional states.

Revelation of mechanisms of assessment of functional and working conditions of the person and ways of managing them, as well as methods of assessment of physiological states of the person and correction of functional working states.

Development of theoretical foundations and practical implementation of means and methods of assessment and correction of human functional states in normal, extreme and emergency situations and conditions of the environment, using feedbacks and adaptation mechanisms.

Creation of methodological bases of human psychophysiological rehabilitation after being in extreme conditions.

Building of intelligent systems of forecasting, behavior and decision-making in the management of biotechnical systems on the basis of simultaneous holistic recognition, perception and processing of multiple sequences of images from different channels of information, including inherent in humans, processing events and environmental states as a variety of images.

Development of expert systems and databases of psychophysiological states, psychophysiological diagnostics and correction.
