The 4nd International Scientific Conference "Intelligent and Multiprocessor Systems - Artificial Intelligence - 2003" took place from September 22-27 2003 in the village of Divnomorske, Gelendzhik District, Krasnodar Krai (Russia). The IMS-AI'2003 conference was held in the best sanatorium of the famous seaside resort Gelendzhik – a recreational and medical facility "Blue farness". The sanatorium is located on the shores of a picturesque bay of the Black Sea with an excellent sunny beach in the village of Divnomorskoe. This amazing place is a beautiful park with a Pitsunda pine grove.
The essential goal of the conference was to provide an opportunity for creators of artificial intelligence systems, and developers of multiprocessor systems and neurocomputers to exchange views, to develop existing concepts and strategies for using multiprocessor computer systems in intelligent systems, to clarify the most promising ways of basic and applied research in this field. Moreover, to determine the directions of practical implementation of intelligent multiprocessor systems with mass parallelism and programmable architecture, adapted to the structure of the problem in different areas of human activity.
