The International Scientific and Technical Multi-Conference "Topical Problems of Information and Computer Technologies, Mechatronics and Robotics" (ICTMR-2009) was held from September 28 to October 3, 2009. The multi-conference was organized at the initiative of the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of Ukraine, the Research Institute of Multiprocessor Computing Systems named after Academician A.V. Kalyaev (Southern Federal University), the Research Center for Supercomputers and Neurocomputers, Mechanical Engineering Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (named after A.A. Blagonravov), the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation "Central Research Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics", the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academies of Sciences of Ukraine and Belarus, the Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia , The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the journals "Bulletin of Computer and Information Technologies", "Mechatronics, Automation, Control" and "Artificial Intelligence".

Multi-conference ICTMR-2009 consisted of four local International Scientific and Technical Conferences:

"Artificial Intelligence. Intelligent Systems "(AI-2009), Academician of RAS S.N. Vasiliev, and corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine A.I. Shevchenko are chairmen
"Multiprocessor Computing and Control Systems" (MCCS-2009), chairman - corresponding member of RAS I.A. Kalyaev
"Mechatronics, Automation and Control" (MAC-2009), chairman - corresponding member of RAS E.D. Teryaev
“Extreme Robotics. Nano-, micro- and macro-robots" (ER-2009), chairman - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor E.I. Yurevich

During the Multi-conference, the Youth School-Seminar "Adaptive and Intelligent Robots" (AIR-2009) and the Scientific Youth School "Systems and Means of Artificial Intelligence" (SMAI-2009) were also held.

The work of local conferences took the form of plenary and sectional sessions, discussions and round tables "Problems of artificial intelligence", "Multiprocessor computing systems: current state and development prospects", "Problems of intellectualization in mechatronics, automation, control". The Multi-conference was attended by over 340 scientists, specialists, graduate students, masters and students representing 125 scientific and industrial organizations (including 25 organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other academies) and universities from 38 cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, Czech Republic, China, Spain, Germany, including 11 academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 71 Doctors of Sciences, 90 Candidates of Sciences, 43 graduate students, masters and students. At the plenary and breakout sessions of the conferences, 235 reports were presented, numerous problems and issues of the state and prospects of modern development of information and computer technologies, artificial intelligence systems and mechatronics and robotics were raised. The conferences were held in the following scientific and technical areas:

ER-2009:

1. Theory and methods of research and design
2. Development and application of robotic systems
3. Management and information support
4. Components of robotic systems

At the plenary and breakout sessions, a wide range of the following issues was discussed:
- theoretical foundations of artificial intelligence systems, decision support systems, intelligent control and data analysis systems, training systems, intelligent robotic systems, natural language and speech processing systems;
- theoretical and applied problems of creating multiprocessor computing and control systems with massive parallelism, distributed computing, neural network technologies, network and multi-agent technologies, systems for digital signal and image processing, data analysis and pattern recognition;
- problems of control, intellectualization and design of mechatronic systems, the use of information and computer technologies in mechatronic systems, the creation of problem-oriented mechatronic systems;
- theory, research methods, development and application of robotic systems.
The multiconference was held with high activity and great interest of the participants.
Proceedings and other materials of the Multiconference were previously published in Russia in the form of collections of materials of local conferences (100 pages.), And in Ukraine, in No. 3'2009 and No.4'2009 of the journal "Artificial intelligence" (116.4 pages).

The following was noted:

  1. Research and development in the field of advanced information and computer technologies and artificial intelligence systems are extremely relevant. It determines the main directions of development of modern world scientific progress.
  2. Ukraine, the Russian Federation, and Belarus have accumulated a great deal of experience and conducted a significant amount of theoretical and applied research in the field of super-efficient computing and control systems, neural network technologies, digital signal and image processing, pattern recognition; creation of robotic systems, their control, information support and application; creation of artificial intelligence systems for various purposes. At the same time, there is a large number of top-notch scientists and specialists with great scientific potential, which makes it possible to create multiprocessor computing and control systems, robotic systems, artificial intelligence systems corresponding to the modern level of advanced Western developments, and even surpassing them in a number of parameters.
  3. Holding a joint conference on these areas allowed to significantly increase the level of scientific results, led to the generation of new ideas and the creation of new joint projects. The experience of an interdisciplinary approach during a joint conference has shown the high effectiveness of such scientific activities.

DECISIVE PART

The participants of the Multi-conference decided:

  1. To continue research in the field of high-performance computing and control systems, robotic systems, artificial intelligence systems, intelligent systems and regularly exchange the acquired experience at joint conferences, symposia, seminars.
  2. The program and organizing committees of the next international scientific and technical conferences should continue to involve enterprises and companies working in the field of information and computer technologies and artificial intelligence systems, to invite them to participate in conferences.
  3. On the basis of the competition for the best reports presented at the conference, the following speakers were given memorable prizes:

- AI-2009 - Kulivets Sergey Gennadievich,
- MCCS-2009 - Mamoylenko Sergey Nikolaevich,
- MAC-2009 - Nikonov Anton Nikolaevich,
- ER-2009 - Pronkin Vitaly Yurievich.

4.  The best reports marked at the conference sections should be recommended for publication in the leading journals of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which are included in the list of approved by the Higher Attestation Commission of these countries.
