Lecture - meeting with Carol Bailey, former vice president of Motorola, head of Spiritual Outreach Worldwide
On September 16, 2016, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems hosted a meeting with Carol Bailey, a well-known manager and former vice president of Motorola and currently Chair of Spiritual Outreach Worldwide.
Carol Bailey has been sharing his vision of business values, including Christian ones, in Ukraine since the 1990s.
In each of his lectures, Carol emphasizes the importance and priority of spiritual and humanistic values above all others and talks about how to succeed. The biblical "to love God with all one's heart" and "to love others as oneself" are components of his philosophy of life, which he sincerely shares, especially with young people. Because at the present time, scientists face not only difficult tasks to accomplish their goals, but also many bioethical issues that are between ethics and science - the impact of future developments on human and society, their interaction with humanity.
Carol Bailey addressed the young scientists, sharing with them his own self-made experience, because he sees a real success in "making the world a better place, because you are unique, just like everyone else, and you live in this world."
During the meeting there was a discussion of the monograph of the corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor Anatoliy Shevchenko "God", which has an innovative vision on many issues of the origin of the biosphere, a modern religious picture of the world, new interpretations of religious sources.
It is not the first time that Carol Bailey has visited the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems, and each meeting enriches the academic staff with new thoughts and reflections, and provides inspiration for future research projects. Agreements have been reached on continued cooperation, joint participation in innovative developments, startups and grant projects.
