XVII International Scientific and Technical Conference "ARTIFICIAL INTELLECTUAL AND INTELLECTUAL SYSTEMS" (AIIS'2017)

Decisions of the Conference Conference program Youth school

On October 17-18, 2017, the XVIІ International Scientific and Technical Conference "ARTIFICIAL INTELLECTUAL AND INTELLECTUAL SYSTEMS" (AIIS2017) was held at the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems under MES and NAS of Ukraine and partners-organizers: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics, Belarusian State University (BSU), Research Institute for Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics,Brest State Technical University, Lublin University of Technology, Lublin, Poland, Soft Xpansion GmbH & Co. KG., Bochum, Germany, Institute of Information and Computing Technologies of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KeyTerra Limited Liability Company, MountainView, California, USA, once again met with like-minded scientists in the field of artificial intelligence.

3 academicians of NAS of Ukraine, 5 corresponding members of NAS of Ukraine, 10 doctors of sciences, 17 candidates of science, 11 graduate students, students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv participated in the scientific event; 21 scientific institutions, higher education institutions and industrial organizations from 13 cities of Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, USA, Kazakhstan and other countries of the world were represented. In absentia, 35 people attended the conference. 56 reports and 53 abstracts of participants of the International Youth Science School were submitted.

Scientists from Ukraine, USA, Poland, Belarus, Germany made scientific reports.

The conference was held in the following scientific fields:

  1. Conceptual, philosophical and methodological problems of creation of artificial intelligence systems.

  2. Algorithmic provision and software of intelligent systems.

  3. Human-machine interaction.

  4. Knowledge-oriented decision support systems.

  5. Neural networks and neural networks technologies. Information systems security problems.

  6. E-learning.

  7. Cyberphysical systems.

The conference was held in the form of plenary and sectional meetings, discussions, round table "Artificial Intelligence: Multidisciplinary Aspects", International Youth Science School "Systems and Means of Artificial Intelligence".

The reports were devoted to the philosophical, mathematical, biological and technical directions of modern scientific research on the creation of intelligent mobile robots and systems, in particular: human qualities as self-study, consciousness, the right to make a mistake etc should be implemented in the systems of these robots. Is it necessary to foresee a situation where a robot with artificial intelligence identifies the man as his enemy or not?

The director of the world-famous Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Professor Anatoliy Shevchenko also suggested to consider the opposite problem: humans regard robots with artificial intelligence as their friends and assistants. But should artificial intelligence be given the capability to disobey its orders and tasks, or not?
