Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Conference (AIIS '15)

On September 21-26, 2015 the Fourteenth Annual International Scientific and Technical Conference "Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Systems" (AIIS'2015) was held. The organizers of the conference were: he Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems under MES and NAS of Ukraine, Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Belarusian State University, Lublin University of Technology, Lublin, Poland, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.

This year the conference was held at the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya region, which is the educational, cultural and intellectual center of the North Azov.

The greetings of the participants of the conference began in the old main building of the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, located in the city center. Greetings from the representatives of Ukraine and Belarus gave participants an inspiration for the conference.

The work of the conference was held in the form of plenary and sectional meetings, discussions, round tables "Modern problems of artificial intelligence", "Intellectual problems of pedagogy".

The conference was attended by 63 scientists, specialists, graduate students and students, representing 39 scientific institutions, universities and industrial organizations from 15 cities of Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, the USA and other countries of the world, including 2 corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine, 23 Doctors of Sciences, 25 Candidates of Sciences, 12 graduate students, masters. In absentia, 28 people attended the conference.

At the plenary and sectional sessions of the conference, 38 reports were presented, numerous problems and questions of the current state and prospects of development of information-computer technologies and systems of artificial intelligence were raised.

Chairman of the Program Committee of the Conference Corresponding Member of NAS of Ukraine A.I. Shevchenko's report "The Current State and Prospects for the Development of Artificial Intelligence" outlined the modern conceptual foundations of the development of science and the vision of the further development of artificial intelligence.

The report of the representative of Belarus - Brest State Technical University, Associate Professor Shut V.N., aroused great interest. Within the Belarusian-Italian project implemented by participants from Brest State Technical University, the results of the creation of new intelligent devices (infobuses) for use in large cities in order to optimize public transport were presented.

The participants of the conference had the opportunity to combine a productive and full program of the conference at plenary and sectional meetings, round tables with informative excursions to Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, the city and the Berdyansk Gulf, to get acquainted with the wonderful history of the South of Ukraine, to visit the magnificent Berdyansk Spits in the joyful sun in the midst of unique beauty and enjoy the gentle waves of the Sea of Azov.

Summing up the scientific discussions, the scientific community paid special attention to the further accumulation of the efforts of scientists in the field of artificial intelligence for the development of national science, the need to expand the topic of the conference with the introduction of new scientific directions of the conference: artificial intelligence.

The conference was held with high activity and interest of the participants, which gave the confidence about further intensification of efforts to bring the achievements of scientists to a new level for the prosperity of our country.
