Department of Intelligent Robotic Systems

 

The Department of Intelligent Robotic Systems was established in 1994.

The main purpose of the Department: creation of hardware base for autonomous mobile robots, development and technical implementation of intelligent robotic systems with communication systems, orientation in 3D environment, motor apparatus, binaural hearing, technical vision, control and execution systems.

The main tasks of the Department are:

  • Conduction of fundamental and applied research on motion modeling.

  • Conduction of fundamental and applied research on robot control systems and navigation support for robotic devices control systems.

  • Creation of mathematical and information support for solving applied problems.

  • Coordination of research on the development of intelligent mobile robots.

  • Development of high-performance human-machine interfaces for managing mobile robots and groups.

  • Development and research of technical vision systems.

  • Creation and research of software for the communication systems and other telecommunication systems.

  • Development of intelligent mobile robot management systems.

  • Development of technologies and software-hardware solutions that allow to implement methods of controlling mobile robots for their specific purposes and adaptation to specific external conditions.
